PRECEEDINGS OF THE JOCKEY CLUB At a meeting of the stewards of the Jockey Club held yesterday there were present Mr. H. K. Knapp, Mr. F. R. Ilitchock, Mr. J. E. Widener and Mr. R. T. Wilson. Mr. John E. Cowdin was appointed deputy steward for Mr. John Sanford during Sanfords absence -abroad. Mr. F. R. Hitchcock was appointed steward to represent the Jockey Club at the Relmont Park autumn meeting. Mr. H. K. Knapp was appointed steward to represent the Jockey Club at the Aqueduct autumn meeting. Mr. W. S. Vosburgh was appointed steward to represent the Jockey Club at the autumn meeting of the Metropolitan Jockey Club. Mr. John E. Cowdin was appointed steward to represent the Jockey Club at the autumn meeting of the Empire City Racing Association. On the report of the stewards of the Empire City autumn meeting the suspension of jockey J. Zoel-lers license was indefinitely continued for grabbing and holding the equipment of a contending horse in the fourth race or July 29, 1920. The approval of the stewards of the Jockey Club was granted the Maryland State Fair, Laurel. Maryland, to conduct a race meeting at Laurel, Mary-laud, during the month of October, 1920, and Mr. Spalding Lowe Jenkins was appointed steward represent the Jockey Club at this meeting. The application of Nash Turner that the entries of horses involved in the litigation between Frank A. Goss and himself be refused was denied.
