PERFECTIN gained steadily on the inside and outstayed ATALA in the final drive. The latter was under vigorous riding from the start, but ran disappointingly and tired in the stretch run. MISS PETITE showed early speed. DEWEY EVE was in close quarters to the eighth post and was not persevered with at the end. The last four were easing up in the closing strides. The latter raced under slight restraint and on the outside of the leaders in the early running and finished fastest of all, but failed to quite get up. LORD BRIGHTON displayed great speed in pacemaking, but tired in the final drive. TIPPITY WITCHET was outpaced, but ran a good race. COURTSHIP had no mishaps.
