Won easing up; second and third driving. FAIR ORIENT- came fast on the outride of the leaders after rounding the far turn, drew away easily when straightened out in the stretch and was under restraint at the end. SWEEPING GLANCE displayed the most speed to the stretch turn, but tired when challenged. SUSAN M. ran a creditable race; BLAISE was always outpaced. Won driving; second and third the same. ROUEN, after being displaced from leadership while rounding the far turn, came again in the stretch and hung on gamely in the final drive. REFUGEE began slowly" and moved up rapidly on the outside of the leaders in the stretch and was wearing the winner down, but lost through bad riding. PEERLESS ONE went to the front with a rush on the last turn and appeared an easy winner in the stretch, but tired in the final eighth. BLACK THONG finished well. CAPT. CARMANDALE, showing vast improvement over his last race, rushed to the front immediately after the start and, setting a terrific pace, held the race safe throughout. MARJORIE HYNES raced oh the outside of DAYDUE to the stretch turn, where she lost ground and was "swerving out slightly in the final drive. DAYDUE ran a good race, but tired in the final eighth. MAYOR HOUSE began poorly and closed up considerable ground in the stretch run. TICKLISH also began slowly and appeared sore when pulling up. DODGE moved up rapidly after rounding the far turn and hung on gamely in the final drive. JOUETT made a resolute challenge in the stretch, but was driving hard at the end to outstay MY DEAR. The latter closed n gap oh the outside in the stretch. BONDAGE, away poorly, could never get up. AVYNNEWOOD set a fast pace and quit badly in the last eighth.
