SUMMARY OF THE CESAREWITCH LONDON, England, October 14. The Cesare-witch,. first of the big English autumn New. market handicaps, was run Wednesday and won by the well backed third choice, Bracket, with Front Line and Greek Scholar second and third. The, winner, a three-year-old filly of unfashionable breeding is a notable long, distance runner with plenty of speed and courage. She has won five, of her six races this year. She won the Cesarewitch easily. Front Line, a plodder, had scant speed and dash at the end. The pair were . in front, clear of the big band -through- the last three-eighths. There, was a record crowd on Newmarket Heath, the. weather was glorious and the course exceptionally, hard because of the long, dry season. Blue Dun, the fine Irish filly, was favorite for the race. She carried 111 pounds, was 5 to 1 in the betting and was beaten a half mile at the finish. The summary of the race is as follows: The Cesarewitch Stakes, handicap, for three-year-olds and over; 25 each; 5,000 added; 500 -to second, 00 to the third. Net value 1920.sh,775.
