Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes Today LOUISVILLE, Ky., November 5. The Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes, the most valuable of two-year-old races decided in Kentucky, will have its first running at Churchill Downs tomorrow. Elaborate preparations have been made for the entertainment of the expected big gathering that will witness the race. There arc nine high-class youugsters named to strive for this rich prize, including the unbeaten H. P. Whitney colt Tryster, regarded by many as the best youngster in the country. He showed a fine preliminary trial this morning when lie ran away from Augon in a gallop of five-eighths of a mile, covering, the distance In 1:00. He will be ridden by Coltiletti. Tryster will probably rule favorite, although S. C. Hildreths Grey Lag will not lack admirers. He lias attracted much attention since his arrival from the East. Earl Sande will ride the Hildreth colt. Kentucklans are pinning their hopes on E. R; Bradleys Behave Yourself and believe that good son of Marathon will be able to take the measure of the eastern cracks. He will be ridden by Lyke. The Redstone Stable, owner of Sporting Blood, has wired Clarence Kummer to come West to ride the Fair Play colt, but there is doubt as to whether the rider of Man o War will be able to reach here In time to fill his engagement.
