Won driving; second and third the same. RUBY took the lead at once, displayed high speed all the way and held COTTON BLOSSOM sare throughout. The latter had no mishaps and ran a good race. BRIG OF WAR raced forwardly all the way and finished gamely. MISSED THE TIME was going well at the end. GIPSY QUEEN was away badly and always outrun. Overweights Ablaze, 4 pounds. IONIA ran a. good race, had no mishaps and held on gamely in the final drive. ELEANOR S. began slowly, but closed a big gap. .HOLD UP raced forwardly all the way. MARJORIB McKAY quit. There was a bad jam soon after the start, causing NIOBES rider to be unseated. The latter was much the best and would have won off under a competent ride. LOTTERY raced gamely and was best of the others. CON-STANTINE and CONTESTANT quit in the stretch. The latter was badly interfered with soon after the Btart and raced gamely, but tired a trifle near the end. DRESDEN had io be ridden hard to outstay TRAVESTY. The later tired in the stretch. HIGH CLOUD, away well and saved behind the leaders in the early running, saved much ground on the turnsand rushed into the lead in the final eighth to win going away. BLUSHING BEAUTY began slowly and had to come wide when turning into the stretch, but came gamely in the last eighth and finished fast. GEORGE STARR showed the most early speed, but tired in the stretch. CLAUDE BROWN ran well. MELIORA was always outrun. BLUE PARADISE had no mishaps. REFUGEE II. ran a fast half. NATURAL, probably best, began slowly and had to close an immense gap, but finished gamely. LUCY KATE suffered from interference, but had a clear course in the stretch and tired near the end. SANDALWOOD ran a good race. PLANTOON set a good pace, but quit. There was a bad jam on the last turn, causing MARY G. to fall.
