KENILWORTrTS jJIG RETURNS Receipts and Disbursements of Summer and Fall Meetings. TORONTO, Ont., December 4. Despite the fact that the Kenilworth Jockey Club of Windsor had the Man o War-Sir Barton race for their feature at the second meeting, the amount that passed through the totalizer fell far short of the summer meeting. One of the reasons for this is that in the fall the jockey clubs have often to hurry through their races on account of the short days, and any Canadian jockey clubs that are obliged to hold their fall meetings after Labor Day rarely approach the spring meeting figures. At the summer meeting of the club the amounts wagered at the mutuels totaled ,000,931, whereas at -the fall meeting, during which the big race was run, the wagers only totaled ,233,380. On the other hand, the gate receipts at the fall meeting were 25,274, whereas gate receipts at the summer meeting were only 8,807. Then again, it is interesting to note that the net gain at the fall meeting was only 57,203, compared with 49,205 at the summer meeting. This is due to the fact that purses at the later meeting, which included the Man o War-Sir Barton race in its program, totaled 00,705, while the purses given at the summer meeting only totaled 4,700.
