I I I i 1 j BUY TWELVE J. K. L. ROSS MARES LEXINGTON, Ky., December 11. John A. Payne and R. H. West. Jr., of Cincinnati, have purchased twelve thoroughbred wares, and leased the stallions Hill Hampton, by William Rufus Estate, and Damrosch, by Rock Sand Dissembler, from J. K. L.- Ross and they are to come to Kentucky from Maryland. The mares were all mated with Marathon last spring, and are to be mated with Hillhampton next spriug. There are four weanlings by Hillhampton among the Ross youngsters in Maryland, and they arc said to be splendid in-I dividuals. Damrosch is to run out there for a couple of months and then go into training.
