CENTIMETER FOR KENTUCKY DERBY NEW ORLEANS. La., December 29. G. L. Blackford, well-known Texas breeder, plans to nominate Centimeter, his good two-year-old, to the Kentucky Derby and many other stakes in the Rlue Grass state next year, and he, as well as trainer R. N. Dick Vestal, is confident that he will be even better as a three-year-old than he was this year. Muskallonge is easily the best two-year-old shown here to date this season aiid he is improving all the time. His races in Kentucky were of the highest order even though he won no stakes there, as he always raced with stake winners and his performances were highly creditable. Centimeter won the Idle Hour Stakes at Lexington and the Harold Stakes at L-ilmiia, hut after t lie latter victory something went wiong witli him and he had to be let up on. He is training soundly 1 again and will soon be sent to the post, lloth of these ISIackforU-bred colta were sired by Meelick.
