PIMLICO OFFERS ATTRACTIVE PROGRAM The Maryland Jockey Club lias arranged an at ¬ tractive program for its Spring meeting beginning at Pimlico May 3 and ending May 1 For the opening day the Inaugural Steeplechase and tho Merchants Handicap are principal races The first big feature of the meeting is scheduled for Satur ¬ day May 7 when the Pimlico Spring Handicap of 5000 added will be run The Pimlico Oaks of 5000 added is the stellar event for Thursday May 12 while on the following day the Pimlico Graded Handicaps run in three divisions should furnish some highclass racing For Saturday May 14 the outstanding feature through the field the Green Spring Valley Steeplechase of 5000 will bring to Pimlico in large numbers devotees of the jumping sport The main races for twoyearolds are the Pimlico Nursery t6 be run May 4 and Spring Juvenile Stake carded for decision on May 10 The Preakness of 40000 added has been reserved for the final day of the meeting May 1 and there is no doubt that it will prove a befitting climax to a wonderful twelve days of racing
