INTERESTING RACING AT WHEELING WHEELING AV Va April 19 Decidedly close and interesting finishes featured the second days lacing of the Wheeling Driving Club today In four of the seven races head margins separated the first two horses The McLure Hotel Purse the fourth and feature attraction fell to Tableau dHonnetir the favorite which came from behind in the stretch to head Marmite in the closing strides stridesCicely Cicely Kay Buck Nail and Lum also scored by hairraising finishes in which the result was in doubt until the official placing was displayed displayedLuras Luras success came as the greatest surprise of the day and the Haymaker filly returned a divi ¬ dend of better than 20 to 1 1Jockeys Jockeys Connors and Rafferty were victims of ac ¬ cidents during the afternoon The former was un ¬ seated from Lucy May but escaped injury Raf ¬ ferty was not so fortunate and after being dragged witli a foot caught in his stirrup for an eighth of a mile fell under Olive James and suffered a broken collarbone and a bad shaking up upIdeal Ideal conditions prevailed today and the attend ¬ ance showed decided improvement over yesterday about 2000 being present This was decidedly gratifying to the directors of the local club who are enthusiastic over the sport
