SPIRITED RACING AT TIJUANA TRACK SAN DIEGO Cal April 28 Three nose finishes followed by a head verdict were the outstanding incidents of yesterdays racing at Tijuana The midsummer weather which prevailed brought out a Wednesday crowd of good proportions Tlie first three races won by Alnjah Hoover and Charlestonian were accomplished in easy fashion the victors leading their opponents by wide mar Bins These races were followed by three finishes in which the winners were in doubt until the official placing had been displayed Nashotah Anna Regina and Rifle won their races by nose verdicts Indeed the sixth race which was won by Rifle was so close that there were some of the spectators of tha opinion that East Indiri had won However the deceptive angle again was in evidence as East Indian was bearing out at the end when seemingly the winner winnerCamouflage Camouflage II carrying the yellow and black colors of the Clear Lake Stable accounted for the last race paying better than 45 to 1 His victory was a hard fought one as the first live horse finished almost abreast abreastIt It was learned today thrt there was some hitch relative to George Wingfield buying jockey Parkes contract from Asa Smith and it was announced by the contract holder that he had concluded negptiatlons witli Harry Morrissey acting for E R Bradley of Kentucky whereby that eastern horseman will obtain the services of the western lad Tlie consideration for which Bradley takes Parke In 3500 3500Tlie Tlie horses owned by George Wingfield the Nevada breeder Avhich number twenty head will leave Tijuana on Monday en route to Toronto Canada With the exception of the speed marvel Cahalan and the fast filly Anna Wood the re ¬ mainder of the thoroughbreds are twoyearolds all of which are sons and daughters of the stallions Honeywood and Atheling II IIThere There was no change in the condition of jockey Elbert Noble the rider injured Tuesday Noble is semiconscious and attending physicians have great hopes for his recovery
