CHAGRIN FALLS RACING BEGINS TODAY CHAGRIN FALLS April 29 Every tiling is in readiness for the opening of the Chagrin Falls Jockey Clubs spring meeting here tomorrow The weather outlook is none too bright but the track is fast There is an abundance of good horses on the grounds Tlie stabling accommodation is taxed to capacity with a much better class of performers than are usually seen in action on a halfmile tiack tiackEd Ed Moore delayed the shipment of his stable of twelve head from Wheeling to Toronto until next week owing to the illness of a Malamont twoyear old filly fillyGeorge George Drtimhiller is contemplating making an invasion of the western tracks with his string but the remainder of the stables which raced at the West Virginia course have been shipped here Among tlie stable which will make their debut for the year at this meeting are those of W R Hall coining from winter quarters at Caruthersville Mo R F Coppages horses in charge of Olin Johnston arrived from the same place There are four head in the string including Murray a consistent winner hist year Kuklux is the star of the Hall string of six head headA A large shipment arrived from Tijuana this week including the stables of Joseph Cooper E E Major William Mikel W Gargan and J Curl CurlT T B Walters with a big string including My Gracie a winner of fifteen races last year was also an arrival arrivalThe The riding brigade from Wheeling moved over here last night and included jockeys McCorkle Hinphy W Taylor Dominick Connors C Howard E Smith Dunkinson OMahoney M Cruise C Hunt J Burke and others othersJockey Jockey N Foden was an arrival today from his home in Toronto He rode at Tijuana during the past winter winterA A most efficient staff of officials has been se ¬ cured for the meeting Joseph A Murphy will be presiding steward F W Gerliardy presiding judge J Carey racing secretary and Elmer Wilson starter
