CHAGRIN FALLS RACING POSTPONED CLEVELAND O April 30 A heavy rain which fell throughout last night and continued this morn ¬ ing converted the track and plant of the Chagrin Falls Jockey Club into a vertible quagmire and as a result the race meeting scheduled to open this afternoon was postponed until Tuesday next The entries made for today will stand for Tuesdays racing racingThere There has been some little opposition to the meeting in certain quarters and in the meantime it is likely that the difficulties will be ironed out satisfactorily satisfactorilyWe We are not opposed to racing but I will insist on the law being respected relating to betting at the track Mayor Burton of Chagrin Falls stated in an interview today At a meeting of our council last night I was given power to swear in one hundred deputies to handle the situation and will see to it that the law will be enforced when the racing commences Mayor Burton concluded concludedOur Our attorneys advise us that the mutuel system of speculation is not contrary to the Ohio state laws consequently we do not anticipate any trouble manager S N Holman announced today and vre will open on Tuesday
