GROWTH OF AUSTRALIAN SPECULATION SYDNEY, N. S. AV.. Australia, June 10. The Randwick season concluded on Monday, and, with one days more racing than the previous year the totalizator turnover was ?0,404,20S, against 054.403. The Australian Jockey Club derives a substantial revenue from tin? totalizator, but is constantly spending money on improvements. At the recent meeting there was :i ticket-issuing machine for each soiling window, instead of one being used for two, -sis on previous occasions. There were seventy-four new machines in use, and later there will be another thirty for the sub-stations to be erected in the paddock. At 3 per cent and fractions the Australian Jockey Club deductions would probably be somewhere about ,,j;28.,000. The totals for the past three years are: 191S-1919 20 days. ,527,031; l.19-l!20 20 days, ,031,-403; 1920-102121 days, 1921.sh,401,238.
