Start good and slow. AAon driving; second and tliird the same. LADY MOTHER, suddenly improved, moved up fast after entering the stretch and gamely outstayed SWEEPY in the linal drive. SWEEPY, crowded in the first sixteenth by LADY DELHI and forced back, gained gradually on the extreme outside and came fast in the stretch, but tired slightly in the linal strides. FINNISH JLUD finished with a belated rush through the stretch and oiitfinishod DELHI JTAH at the end. DELHI JIAID fired after racing Into the lead. TjA KROSS saved ground on the turns and, finishing fast, nosed BOJIBAST out in the last stride. The latter moved up fast on the stretch turn, but was brought, wide, losing much ground. JIISS RANKIN began slowly and moved up rapidly after entering the stretch, but tired in the final drive. ROCKPORT was never prominent. ORlNDV quit after going five-eighths. STAUNCH, racing in improved fo rin. showed the most early speed and hold on gamely in the stretch drive. SNAPDRAGON II. was far back until in the last quarter mile, where he came fast under a poor ride. SANTA CLAUS met with interference on the first turn and on the backstretch. REPARATION was in a forward position in tile early running, but save way when called on. AIY PLAY was on the inside in the first quarter ami was forced to pull up.
