Won easily; second and third driving FRIGATE set a fast pace under slight restraint from the start and won in a canter. GALLIVANT whs repeatedly cut off when attempting to slip through next to the inner rail, but came fast when clear i.nd easily outstayed FAUNUS. The latter was hard ridden for the entire race and tired when called on for a final effort. MONTALVO ran well. PAHASICA was not persevered with. BANTRY PASS raced into a long lead in the first half mile and won in a canter EARLY BIRD, away forwardly and in closest pursuit of the leader for the entire race, was hard ridden to maintain her position in the stretch. DOUGHNUT was shuffled back when turning out of the backstretch but closed up steadily when clear and was gaining at the end. DOLMAN was in close quarters When entering the stretch. CROGUS showed great speed in pacemaking in the early running and tired in the last eighth,, but held on gamely. ROYCE ROOLS gradually improved his position and made a fast finish. BILLY KELLY ran fairly well, but seems in poor form. LANIUS had a rough race. BLAZES saved ground on all the turns. BEST PAL retired in Hie last quarter. YELLOW HAND lacked speed and ran a poor race. The latter moved up fast in the stretch, but was tiring in the final drive. BIFF BANG quit badly in the last eighth. VETERAN retired after gojng well for three-quarters.
