AVon easily; second and third driving. FORT BLISS took a quick lead and raced GLORIA FRANCE into defeat, then was shaken up when KUKLUX challenged, but drew away again at the end. KUKLUX saved ground on the turns and finished fast, hut could not get to the winner. OKLOAA was in a pocket for the best part of the race and finished with a rush when she got a clear course. NONSKID began sideways, but quickly recovered and. racing into a safe lead and withstanding a challenge from SEA AVAY, was ridden out through the final eighth and won going away again. SOLID ROCK came with a rush through the stretch, but could not get to the wiuuer. SEA WAY saved ground on the stretch turn and rushed up to the leader, but tired in the final drive. RICHARD Y. ran well. NAPTHALIUS quit badly and ran away a mile and a half after the race. GOURMAND ran poorly. TOM LOGAN raced in closest pursuit to the last eighth and quit badly. SIR JOHN AERGNE began slowly and came wide on the stretch turn, but finished fast and gaining. CORSOX raced well up all the way, but was shut oft in the stretch when he tried to get through next to the inner rail. FRANK F. ran well. AUSTRAL finished fast. DOCOD and PROSPECTOR quit. ALOFT set a great pace and raced DARK AGES into defeat in the first half, then held on gamely "to outstay JOHNNY DUNDEE for second place. The Idtter raced close up throughout and had no mishaps. The latter set tin extremely fast pace to the stretch and responded gamely when challenged, hut could not withstand the winners rush. DODGE, close up throughout, tired in the last eighth.
