FRENCH CRACKS IN A DEAD HEAT PARIS, France, October 20. The Prix Edgar-Gillois, a race at one mile and five-eighths, for three-year-olds, with an added value of 3,000, was decided at Le Tremblay Wednesday afternoon. After a magnificent struggle the race resulted in a dead heat between Madame Edraond Blancs Ksar, ch. c, 3, by Bruleur Kizil Kourgan, ridden by Stern, and Baron Edouard de 1 Rothschilds Vatel, b. c, by Sans Sonci II. Vaya, ridden by .Matt McGee. Vatel made all tlie running, but could not get away from Ksar, which hung on tenaciously and neither had any mishaps.
