THIMBLE began slowly ami followed the others for the first three-eighths, then steadily improved her position and raced into a good lead in the last eighth. FRANK FOGARTY was a prominent contender all the way, and tired after taking the lead. EPISODE saved much ground on all the turns and, closing a gap, ontgamed VISTA in the final drive. The latter saved ground on all the turns and raced gamely. ROCKPORT ran a fairly good race. WINNECONNE showed speed, but tired.
