MORVICH IS IN THE DERBY Manager Matt Winn Personally Receives From Owner Entry of Champion of Last Year. LOUISVILLE Ky . February l.V -M. .1. Winn vice-president and general manager of the Kentucky Jockey Club, has arrived here from New-York, where he has been at the bodaMa of his friend. Col. Andrew Veiinie. who is making a complete recovery after a serious operation. Manager Winn reports that eastern horsemen are showing uusiial interest in the Kentucky. Derby ami practically every three year old in that section with any pretention to high class will be among the entries, which close February 21. The unbeaten Morvich. the great sou of Bunnvmode which established a brilliant record last year as a two-year-Old, is a sure starter in the forty eighth renewal of the Derby. Colonel Winn received his entry from the hands of Benjamin Block, the proud owner, who is anxious that his wonder call shall take his place in the list of those which have earned turf immortality by winning the Churchill Downs star race.
