JOE I.I.Ailt tired after racing into a good lead and readly succumbed to the winners rush, but held LADY TIPTOE safe for second place. LADY TIPTOE showed the most early speed, but tired badly in the liit-tl eighth. SILK SOX set the pace from near the start and, although headed by BLANCHE MEYERS after entering the stretch, outfinished her because best ridden at the end. BLANCHE MEYERS forced a fast pace and raced to the front, but tired near the end. CIRCULATE closed a big gap from a slow beginning. MAID OF ANSEL made a fast finish. GOOD ENOUGH quit. DELLA WELTA, after being a distant follower for the first half, moved up steadily while round- ing the last turn and, rushing into the lead when a sixteenth out, easily held ALAZON safe at the end. ALAZON. after racing CRISPIE into defeat, forged to the front after rounding the last turn, but tired and rejdily succumbed to the winners rush. TOYON fell back to the rear when passing the three-eighths post, then came again on the outside and finished with a rash. LIMERICK raced into the lead soon after the start and, withstanding repeated challenges, held sway throughout. JOE UNDERWOOD raced in closest, but unavailing, pursuit of the winner and, after making a threatening challenge, had to be hard ridden to save second place. AL PORTER saved ground ou all turns and was shut off by JOE UNDERWOOD all through the final eighth, or he would have been closer up. RED WILLIAM closed a gap. OLYMPIAD ran a poor race. The latter came fast through the final quarter and finished gainiug. FIREPLACE set a great pare ;;ii 1, when challenged, hung on resolutely. HARRY RUDDER did his best. SMILING MAGGIE was interfered with when ARYANNA lost her rider, then closed a big gap and finished fastest of all. OLA LEE collided with PUEBLO at the start and both were practically left.
