Mont Blanc for Grand Prix SPECIAL CORRESPONDENCE CORRESPONDENCEPARIS PARIS France May 10 As you have no doubt gathered from your regular corre ¬ spondents various letters sent you from time to time the racing season has been backward here on account of the weather but the last few days look as if spring had finally ar ¬ rived with every prcspect of it continuing continuingIf If I may venture an opinion on the winner of the Grand Prix about seven weeks re ¬ moved from today I think you will find Baron Rothschilds horse Mont Bianc will be there or thereabouts He is to my way of thinking the coming threeyearold of the year and a phenomenal horse He is being prepared by trainer Watson one of the best and will be ridden by Watt McGee McGeeYour Your old friend Eugene Leigh did very well for a while with his selling platers but rvs soon as the good horses began to show he finished out of the money and has not put one over now for several days although they plunged on Cortland the other day He fin ¬ ished fourth just out of the money moneyJockey Jockey Everett Haynrg has been riding with considerable success over here He has not had as many mounts as he should out ¬ side those of his contract employer Leigh but enough to show his ability He is a good rider Any time he hooks up with any of the other jockeys he comes pretty near holding his own with them and winning winningFrank Frank Jay Gould is entirely out of racing and has disposed of everything except his home in MaisonsLaffittc His former man ¬ ager Frank Calhoun widely known in Amer ¬ ican racing circles has also retired married and makes his home in Bordeaux BordeauxFormer Former jcckey John Rciff is here but will be unable to ride any more and contents liimscif in association with his brother Deb Reiff in the ownership of a few horses which are raced here
