J. K. L ROSS YEARLINGS I Sixteen Quartered at Three Farms in Canada, Maryland and Kentucky. Commander J. K. L. Ross, Montreal sportsman and breeder, has sixteen foal. quartered at his Laurel, Md., Vercheres, Que., and II. J. Morriseys Kemplands Farm near Lexington, Ky. They are said to be splendid lookers and well proportioned. W. P. OMeara, who is at present at Windsor, will leave for Lexington on Saturday to inspect the foals at Kemplands Farm. The produce are the offspring of Sir Barton, Cudgel, Marathon and Fitawilliam. Cudgels first get will be seen under colors next year. The yearling crop located at the different farms have all been halter broke and will be given their first racing lessons in August. It has not been definitely decided upon where the budding racers will be concentrated, but in all probability they will be gathered at the Ross farm at Laurel, Md., under the care of trainer McDaniel. The colts predominate in the crop, there being ten coits to six fillies, and bay is the dominating color. The list is as follows: At Vcrclicrcs, Que.
