Won driving; second and third the same. MANY SMILES, running in suddenly and greatly improved form, took the lead soon after the start and, setting a fast pace under restraint, raced into a good lead when entering the stretch and made a game linish when challenged. KNOT followed the leader closely and moved up gamely through the stretch, but tired in the final strides. POLYTIIIA began slowly, but steadily improved her position and outstayed HARRIDAN in the final drive. The latter raced next to the rail all the way, but tired in the clo.-ing strides. "Won easily; second and third driving. QUESADA took the lead at once and easily kept it for the entire race. RRIBKSMAN was a forward contender all the way and finished gamely, but was held safe at the end. SCNNYI.AND, ofT slowly, caught the leaders tiring in the final eighth and finished gamely. AVISPA, off fonvardly, was taken back and saved for the first half, but did not respond when called on. KIRKLEVINGTON showed early speed, but quit badly in the last eighth. SHAMROCK raced in closest pursuit all the way and made a resolute finish. VIGIL was in close quarters on the last turn, but finished fast when clear. DANIEL, oft slowly, moved up menacingly after entering the stretch, then tired. WILLIAM TELL had a rough race and, being forced extremely wide when entering the stretch, lost much ground. PRINCE Til Til ran poorly. HILLUOUSE. tired and quit. The winner, eniered for ,700, was bid up to ,703 and bought in. Won easily; second and third driving. EXODUS was saved close up behind the leaders until well into the stretch, then took the lead with a rush when called on and won easing up. FRIGATE, off forwardly. displayed great speed and, racing RIGHEART into defeat in the first three-quarters, took the lead and, when passed by the leader, held the others safe for feeond place. THUNDERCLAP worked his way up gradually and outstayed LADY MADCAP in the final drive. LADY MADCAP was forced to pull up in the rush out of the chute and was forced wide in the final half mile by THUNDERCLAP and had a rough nice. BIGHEART set a great pace and was not persevered with when beaten. GEORGIE could not improve his position. POLLY WALK showeil speed and improvement. BEATITUDE was off slowly and closed a big gap. OUI OUI was interfered with. The last three horses ran green.
