TEN STARS IN LATONIA CUP LATONIA, Ky., November 3. The Latonia Cup, at two miles and a quarter, which features the closing day of the meeting here, is attracting widespread interest. It is gratifying to note that the unusual has happened and a much larger field is in prospect than has been the case with ths running of the long-distance features. Ten high-class horses have been named, and there is a strong probability that seven will face the starter. Firebrand, victor in his last two races, carries the heavy impost of 127 pounds, and if the track remains in its present excellent condition has a splendid chance to capture the rich prize. Rockminister, winner of the Latonia Championship Stakes, is another that is coming in for much attention. Cherry Tree is also gaining favor, his impost of 101 pounds making him appear among the strong factors. He will probably be ridden by M. Fator. Owners were not as prompt in naming the jockeys whom they will entrust with their charges. The probable starters, riders, weights, owners, trainers and breeders are as follows: Horse. Wt. Rider.
