Won handily; second and third driving. WIRELESS began fast and was saved in close-up pursuit of LEO FISHER to the stretch, wore Win down steadily and, passing him, was going away at the end. LEO FISHER sliowed the most speed and set a good pace, but- began tiring after reaching the last eighth. HIGH SPEED began slowly and had to be ridden wide for most of the way, but closed a big gap in tle last quarter. ANZBNA raced forwardly for most of the way, but quit after reaching the last eighth. Won drrrrng; second and third the amc. HIGH TEA moved up steadily in the stretch and, responding well te mild driving, wore SLANDERER down and headed him in the last sixteenth. SLANDERER raced into the lead with a rush on the last turn, but began tiring near the end. ALLUUIXG, under a weak rider and ridden wide on the turns, ran a good race and finished gamely. ATHLBTK closed a gap and flnislied fast. DKARIK set the early pace, but tired badly after reaching the stretch. AL STXBLKR ran below bis best form. DEKP SINKJCR raced into a good lead and might have won with a good ride. DEMOS quit badly after setting the early pace and racing forwardly for three-quarters. FANTOCHH. poorly ridden and taken wide on most of the turns, ran a good race and finished fast, BLARNEY STONK ran well and might have been second but for losing much grund on the stretch turn. CADORNA closed a big gap in the last quarter. IfiSQUIRK set a fast early pace 1 and quit after reaching the stretch. JACOBEAN made up much ground in the last quarter.
