PICKED TEE WRONG HORSE LONDON, England, December 1. A curious mistake was made by members of the ring at Newbury yesterday during the progress of the Alfriston Steeplechase, in which Romance fell. He carried a mauve jacket, and so did the favorite, Kings Carol. The bookmakers mistook the latter for the fallen horse and laid against him to their cost, for Kings Carol proved a handy winner.
