Won easily: second and third driving. MERRY LASS raced FOND HOPE into defeat and, racing to the front, stood a hard drive and easily held BAISY safe at Uie end. BAISY, away slowly, closed a big gap in a fast finish. FOND HOPE set the early pace, then was the closest contender to the last eighth, where she tired. PHYLLIS K. ran well and so did HELEN MAJOR.
