PERMARCO ran as if much the best in the going, raced into a good lead "at once and held the others safe through the stretch, winning as her rider pleased. FERNANDOS, close up from the start, responded gamely when called on iu the last eighth and outstayed BEGUM. The latter ran a good race, but tired in the last sixteenth. GOLD MOUNT seemed at a loss in the going and had to be ridden hard all the way. JOTA ran well. AUNTIE EM closed a big gap. EAU GALLIE acted badly at the post and was left. VENNIE was prominent for the entire race and finished well. SETTING SUN finished fast and gamely after losing ground by being taken in and out in the stretch.
