TOYON forced JANE A. to race at top .speed and, saving ground on all the turns, stood a hard drive gamely and got up to win going away. JANE A. was hard ridden while racing in the lead and made a game finish. ANNA STAR made up ground steadily from a slow beginning. POKEY JANE showed speed and probably will improve. Won driving; second and third the same. CUBA worked her way up gradually while racing close to the inner rail "and, standing a hard stretch drive, finished gamely and won in the last stride. PINAQUANA came around the leaders when entering the stretch and finished close up. CELEBRATE, after racing FOND HOPE into defeat, took the lead, but tired in the last sixteenth. ALAJAH was prominent in nearest pursuit to the last eighth, where he tired and had to be hard ridden to save second place. VERA RITA ran well and finished gamely. EMMA WELLER finished fast. The latter came wide when entering the stretch, but finished fast and wearing the winner down. KRIPPEN drew up on even terms with the leader midway of the stretch, but tired in the final seventy yards. DOMINATOR was going fast at the end. NORFORD HONEY ran well to the stretch. KINGLIKE, away slowly, rushed up to the pacemaker with great speed, but swerved out extremely wide when entering the stretch and finished exhausted.
