DERBY DINNER FEB 16 Invitations to Be Sent Out to toThose Those Interested in Revival of ofChicago Chicago Racing The finance committee of the New AVash ington Park Breeders Association has ar ¬ ranged all details for perfecting its organiza ¬ tion at a Derby dinner to be held on Fri ¬ day night February 16 Over 1000 invita ¬ tions will be sent to those who are inter ¬ ested in the return of racing on a substantial footing footingThe The finance committee is stated to com ¬ prise the following James I Naughton Jefferson Livingston John F Barrett Sam ¬ uel T AVhite Joseph G Landauer Byron AV Everett AVilliam A Pinkerton Ralph Gud ney James H Channon Harry J Cassady Mark Shanks John Irwin AVilliam E Bee Philip Henrici AVilliam M AValker R B Sloan Frank J Kelley Charles AVeeghman Joseph E Bidwcll Jr Charles Head Smith E A Aaron and Robert Robertson RobertsonCommittees Committees on transportation site finance and construction will report details and con ¬ ditions The financing of the enterprise it is stated has long since been accomplished the architects report drawings specifica ¬ tions and full details have been completed and the engineers outlay has been accepted Architect Scott C Dyer engineer AVilliam J Murray and Billy Myer the track building expert are ready to commence operations im meditely after being authorized to go ahead At the dinner Joseph A Murphy will pre ¬ side and Bruce Head L J Carey and AVil Ham AVoodward representing the Thorough ¬ bred Breeders Association will probably also be present besides a number of breed ¬ ers from Kentucky who have already ac ¬ cepted invitations invitationsIn In perfecting the organization while the financing has practically been accepted as arranged Judge Murphy insists that the pub ¬ lic of Chicago is entitled to interests in the new organization and he is against a few controlling the organization and everybody in good standing should be recognized These matters will be discussed and settled at the meeting and it is stated that when the or ¬ ganization is perfected immediate work will start on the plant
