What doubt existed in the minds of the local turf en ¬ thusiasts as to which is the bettter colt Buster Keaton or Porto de Oro was set aside Sunday when Buster Keaton again proved his superiority over his rival by carrying off first honors in the Juvenile Stakes a dash of a half mile worth 2370 to the winner winnerThese These two colts met two weeks ago in the Debutante Stakes in which Buster Keaton was victor by a small margin Porto de Oro which finished second to him had acted frac tiously while at the post and in the nine minutes that the horses faced the barrier he used up much of his strength by his mis ¬ behavior However this did not deter Porto dc Oro from running a sparkling race and there were many who were of the opinion that in another clash he would reverse the decision This opportunity came yesterday and the race proved to be a great betting affair It seemed that for every admirer that Buster Keaton had Porto de Oro had one likewise and these two ruled almost equal choices Ray Palmer Jr from the William Daniel barn was next in demand The start was one of Harry Morrisseys best efforts with the horses leaving the post on even terms From an outside start Buster Keaton dashed to the front with Porlo de Oro closest in pursuit In third place raced Ray Palmer Jr The trio entered the homestretch in this order and an eighth out Porto de Oro got within a head of the pacemaker From there on to the end it was a battle royal with jockey Parke on Buster and Martinez on the challenger riding as if their lives de ¬ pended on the result Head and head they came on toward the finish but Porto de Oro try as he did could never get to the front As the two crossed the winning line cheered by the big crowd on hand Buster Keaton still held to the lead and won the decision by a head and the right to be proclaimed the better horse of the two twoTJIACK TJIACK SKA OF MUD MUDThe The rain which fell throughout the morn ¬ ing and at intervals during the afternoon
