WILLIAM CLARE PASSES AWAY " SARATOGA SPRINGS, N. Y., Jan. 13. William Clare, 52, superintendent of the Saratoga race track for the past five years, died at 11 oclock Saturday night as the result of a stroke of apoplexy. Mr. Clare was stricken Friday night and never regained consciousness. Mr. Clares father was superintendent of the Brighton Beach track for a number of jears and his son showed marked ability in his chosen profession. He made an enviable record for himself during the period that he was in charge at Saratoga. Mr. Clare is survived by his wife. Funeral services will be held at St. Clements Church in Saratoga Springs Tuesday morning and the remains will be shipped to Brooklyn on the noon train. The funeral will be held from 1925 East Fourth street, Brooklyn, Thursday morning.
