I RACING AT OKLAHOMA FAIR, I Seven Days Meeting Planned for Week of Sept. 20 to 27 With Increased Purses. OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.. April C-Visitors at the Oklahoma State Fair and Exposition will have the opportunity to see some of the boot horses that were ever seen in this part of the country next September M to LT. according to manager Balph T. Hemphill. There will be seven big days of running raoeo at the state fair next fall. Auto races have been eliminated for this year and thousands of dollars formerly spent for auto races will be added to the purses in the running races. By increasing the number of racing das and by adding more money to the purses the greatest collection of running horses eer shown in Oklahoma will be seen at the stale fair next fall. Manager Hemphill has just returned from n lour of the winter racing circuits and while in New Orleans a conference of race horse owners and s. scrotal ies of western fairs was held and a Circuit consisting of Omaha, Oklahoma City, Moskogee :»nd Dallas was formed. By forming this circuit and by andl fair greatly increasing the number of racing days and sJuM of purses it will bring to the people of these states the greatest collection of running horses ever shown in the western states. Approximately 1924.sh0,000 in purses will be offered at the Oklahoma City, Muskogee and Dallas fairs.
