OPTIMIST TO RACE HERE J. L. Repogles Crack French Colt to Be Seen Under Colors in U. S. Next Year. SPECIAL CABLEGRAM. PARIS, France, Dec. 28. J. Leonard Re-i pogles Optimist, the three-year-old son of Tracy Le Vnl Optima, is to be shipped toj i New York by the American sportsman for i a 1925 campaign over the American courses, j As a two-year-old he Avas Avinner of the j Prix Salamandre, of 20,000 francs, as Avell I as the Prix, de Reims, of 10,000 francs. He Avas second in the Prix Monry, of 40,000 francs and third in the Ominium de Deux, of 50,000 francs. During the past year, Optimist did not accomplish, much, but he Avas Avinner of the Prix Daphnis and he per-j formed among the best of them. j Mr. Replogle raced in this country under the name of the Westmont Stable and one of his best performers AAas Sennings Park, a frequent winner. Cable dispatches did not announce the plans for Optimist in this country, but it is expected that he will b3 ! campaigned for a year at least before lie is retired to tho stud.
