JONES STOCK FARM AGAIN ♦ Wins Another Feature Race at Huntington With Idle Seth. ■" Rain Beneficial to Track — Doubles for Jockeys W. Charles and L. Wilson — Amber Fly Goes Down. ♦ HUNTINGTON, W. Va.. April 10.— Once again the Jones Stock Farm furnished the winner of the feature race at the Tri-State Fair Grounds when Idle Seth scored an easy victory over Sombre and Wracklane in the Guyan Purse, the sixth race of the afternoon. This was the principal racing offering and Idle Seth was an overwhelming favorite. He was ridden by C. Gross and. taking the lead with the rise of the barrier, always held his rivals safe, never being seriously menaced at j any stage of the contest. Sombre finished second and was easily best of the others. There was quite a battle for third money be- I tween the three others of the field. Wrack- , lane. Sandpile and In the Bag. they finishing in that order, separated by inches. A light rain last night and this morning proved to be beneficial to the track, which became evident as the afternoon progressed. I The attendance was little affected by the unfavorable weather outlook and the sun shone near the close of the afternoon. Jockey W. Charles and L. Wilson were in the limelight during the afternoon, each piloting two winners. An accident marred the running of the fourth race, but fortunately did not result In serious injury. As the field rounded the stretch turn Royal Dick, Amber Fly and Felicitous were closely contesting the leadership wth Amber Fly in the center. At this point Amber Fly went down with jockey E. Carpenter, but both horse and rider escaped unhurt. Caveat Emptor made a bold challenge when straightened out, joining Royal Dick and Felicitous. In the final drive Royal Dick proved the gamest of the trio and caught the judges eye first, Felicitous getting second place and Caveat Emptor third, less than a half length separating all three. Belle Fay showed the way by a comfortable margin at all stages of the initial race. Midnight Stories was as easily test of the i other.--. Ilena was away poorly, but closed ■ much ground and easily disposed of the other* during the stretch run.
