MEETING AT BEULAH PARK » Approximately 400 Horses Already at Columbus Track. ♦ One Hundred More Expected Shortly — 3Iajority in Raring Condition for Opening on Saturday, April 16. ♦ COLFMBDS, Ohio. April S.— There are now approximately four hundred horses stabled at Beulah Park for the meeting which opens April lt». In addition to these the list of reservations include over a hundred horses that will arrive here shortly. From all indications the number of thoroughbreds available for racing will exceed five hundred, and practically all of them will be ready for the colors just as soon as the meeting gets under way. The Oklahoma Stable with eighteen : H. B. Brown Stock Farm, twelve; H. Davis, twelve : M. H. Jordan, eleven : A. Miller, eleven ; BL Lutz, ten, and Ben Keller, ten. are among the largest establishments on the grounds. T. EL Bernhardt is expected shortly with a string of fourteen, while F. W. Moore, with thirteen; R. D. Carter, eleven; Sam Holman, ten, and I. S. Wishard, nine, will be here before the opening day. As the general run of the horses to race here are of the same caliber, the prospects are for large fields and well contested races. Preparations for the inauguration of the sport on Saturday, April ltl, are well advanced and everything is expected to be in spic and span condition when the bugle call ushers in the spring meeting, which, according to reliable forecasts, promise to be most successful.
