ENGAGES JOCKEY B. RAY BOWIE. Md.. April 11.— H. Teller Archibald has obtained a call on the promising apprentice B. Ray for the Havre de Crace meeting and the lad will be sent by trainer J. I. Smith, of the Arden Farms Stable, to report to trainer George Arvin within the next few days. Ben Beach will handle his engagement book. Ray was one of the bright stars of the Miami meeting and will do the lightweight riding for the Chicago sportsmans string at the meeting, which opens next Saturday.
