NEW RULES ADOPTED Radical Changes in Kentucky Rac ¬ ing Laws This Year New Officials Dates for Bade BadePark Park and Starters Instructions InstructionsActed Acted Upon at Meeting LEXINGTON Ky March 30 The Ken ¬ tucky State Racing Commission at a meeting here today gave final approval to the addi ¬ tion of a number of new rules to the code under which the sport is conducted in this state granted a license and racing dates to the Bade Park Jockey Club approved offi ¬ cials for the coming spring and fall meetings at Latonia Churchill Downs and the local Kentucky Association track and appointed a committee on licenses for the year yearThe The attending commissioners Polk Laf foon chairman William E Smith and S S Combs together with Charles E Lewis sec ¬ retary convened in the new local offices of the board at the Kenutcky Association track Commissioners Frazer Lebus and Theodore E Mueller were absent absentIn In submitting officials for the coming year the Churchill Downs Latonia and local track heads offered slightly changed lists from the previous year new officials having been obtained for the positions formerly held by N H McClelland and J S Wallace Both named officials had served as placing judges at the three major tracks and in addition McClelland was clerk of scales and Wallace entry clerk clerkJ J Sherman Goodpaster secretary of Churchill Downs Inc and the Latonia Jockey Club Samuel H McMeekin director of publicity for the same tracks and Law ¬ rence Bogenschutz for some time employed in the racing departments at Latonia and Louisville were selected to assume the duties formerly handled by McClelland and Wallace WallaceNo No other change in officials from those that served last year was announced announcedFor For Churchill Downs and Latonia the fol ¬ lowing officials were approved by the com ¬ mission Stewards C F Price T C Brad ¬ ley S C Nuckols and Elijah Hogg placing judges W H Shelley J S Goodpaster and S H McMeekin starter William Hamilton racing secretary W H Shelley handicap pers C F Price and W T Shelley clerk of scales C H McMeekin paddock judge J H Chawk patrol judge W E Phillips timer S K Hughes entry clerk L Bogen schutz schutzFor For Lexington Stewards T C Bradley and J J Graddy placing judges W H Shelley J S Goodpaster and L Bogenschutz starter William Hamilton racing secretary Continued on twelfth page
