MORSUN, rank at the post and placed on the outside, began slowly, but worked his way up fast in the first quarter and, steadied on the turn after disposing of PRINCE SULIEMAN, held on well, outlasting GOLDEN SUN. The latter, restrained for half a mile, closed resolutely and was overtaking the winner. ONDOTT, unable to keep up for half a mile, closed a big gap thereafter. BLACK COMET tired when urged. UPSETS LASSIE, inclined to bear in and steadied along for half a mile, failed to rally when hard urged,; but held on well and overtook the tiring GUIDESS within a few strides of the end. The latter opened up a good load quickly, maintained her advantage to the final eighth, then tired badly. VERDA saved ground throughout and raced evenly.
