SPEED GIRL, hard urged to take command, saved ground, but tired after being challenged. MERELY, roughed badly for three-eighths, finished gamely when clear. NADA had much taken out of her when forcing the early pace. THE PETTER was outrun. MARVELINE was pinched back in the first quarter when racing well. PHANTASIME, closest to the winner throughout, was unable to better his position. MORALITY secured racing room on the iny.de in the last half mile and closed stoutly. HURAWAY, bothered by a dog on the track at the first turn, improved his position on the outside thereafter when reaching his stride. GAY PARISIAN would not extend himself.
