EQUIPOISES SIRE PENNANT DIES LEXINGTON Ky Nov 7 The twenty sevenyearold stallion Pennant died at the farm of his owner Cornelius Vanderbilt Whitney near Lexington today Due to advanced age the son of Peter Pan Royal Rose had failed rapidly and his death re ¬ moved one of the oldest stallions in this country His death followed that of his most famous son Equipoise which until recently Was second on the list of worlds leading moneywinners having earned 338610 in purses while winning twentynine of his fifty one starts Equipoise died at the Whitney farm on August 4
