after reaching the turn made a weak bid in the drive and faltering failed to withstand PRINCELY GIFT NANCYS BABY held on well GUMMED UP showed a good effort BARON OMAR closed fast TORCH GLEAM began to respond in the stretch where she came otitsand finishing well was wearing down NEW FRONTIER QUAKER away fast but unable to keep up closed strongest of all PURPLE HEART gave way on the stretch turn close up early and on the inside to the turn drifted out approaching the stretch and tired under a mild drive GRAND NEWS had speed was taken over sharply approaching the turn and quit in the last
