Suffolk Stewards Issue Bayport Foul Statement StatementBar Bar Further Entry of Horse Until Bearing In Tactics Are Remedied RemediedEAST EAST BOSTON Mass June 9 An af ¬ termath of the crowd disturbance at Suf ¬ folk Thursday after the disqualification of Bayport came today when the stewards at the local course issued the following state ¬ ment mentThe The stewards had jockey H Pratt be ¬ fore them at their regular morning session to get a clear statement from him on the foul which occurred in the seventh race Thursday Pratt stated that when the start came Bayport bolted to the inside and fouled the horses next to him He tried to get by them and hit his mount with his whip which did not remedy the situation The horse continued to bear in and at the first turn carried Pratt to the rail al ¬ though he was clear of horses by that time timeThe The stewards also interviewed jockey H Trent who rode Bayport in a previous race and who was cautioned by the stewards in that event for permitting his mount to drift to the rail in the stretch Trent said that the horse had a habit of bearing in inThe The stewards decided not to hold Pratt responsible for the foul They have how ¬ ever notified trainer W H Hartman that no further entry of the horse Bayport will be received until Hartman has found some method to remedy Bayports bad habit habitBayport Bayport was placed third because in the opinion of the stewards the winning chances of the first two horses placed in front of him had been destroyed by the foul at the start
