Pascoag Holds War Relief Sum of 56188 in Escrow EscrowPASCOAG PASCOAG R I June 12 The Rhode Island local charity meeting held Novem ¬ ber 1 and 2 1943 with a net income of 931757 and the six days meeting of November 15 to 20 1943 for the Rhode Island United War Relief Fund with a net income of 4687136 making a grand total of 5618893 is being held in escrow due to the fact that the management was misinformed regarding permission to hold the above meetings The Burrillville Rac ¬ ing Association Inc has up to the present time been denied the right to deduct the above amount from their income for 1943 ft the association is obliged to pay 80 per tent federal income tax on the above amount they may then at their own dis ¬ cretion donate 20 per cent of the amount to charity charityPermission Permission has been granted by the De ¬ partment of Internal Revenue at Wash ¬ ington D C to hold the present two days meeting June 12 and 13 1944 and the entire net proceeds after deducting actual cash expenditures will go to the Rhode Island United War Fund Inc Mr Mar ¬ cus Offers will be on the ground each day as representative of the United War Fund Inc
