Foxy Nettie in Initial Triumph at Fairmount FairmountDaughter Daughter of Fighting Fox Hard Pressed to Beat Ted Mosquero MosqueroCOLLINSVILLE COLLINSVILLE El June 13 Foxy Nettie a twoyearold daughter of Fighting Fox and Nettie Stone racing in the silks of G R Petrilli a Louisville sportsman scored their initial victory this afternoon at Fairmount Park Foxy Nettie defeated 10 other twoyearolds in the fivefurlong fourth race to earn Petrilli his first purse since entering the sport last spring D C Wilhelms Ted Mosquero finished second while Pretty Plane coupled with the vic ¬ tress saved the minor award awardPretty Pretty Plane was sent to the front at the start of the fivefurlong dash the first of the meeting at this distance for the juve ¬ niles followed by Scotts Indian and Ted Mosquero They raced in this order for the first half while the ultimate winner was eighth at the quarter then moved up to sixth entering the stretch stretchWhen When straightened out for the drive Pretty Plane still had a slight margin over Red Blitzen who moved up with a rush only to meet repeated interference from Pretty Plane after passing the final eighth while Foxy Nettie slipped through next to the rail and moved into the third slot with Ted Mosquero dropping back fourth In the drive to the wire Foxy Nettie wore down her stablemate but had to stand a long drive to stall off Ted Mosquero who finished with a fine burst of late speed At the end the winner was a neck before Ted Mosquero with the latter half a length be ¬ fore Pretty Plane who was a head before Nations Hero
