Sailor, away badly, closed a big gap and may have been best. Phil Archibald ran in improving form. El Piloto quit after following the winners pace for a half. G. W. Hainault, away poorly, worked a rough journey and, although badly ridden, was closing up fast at the end. Axminandter ran very sore and both fell at thn end of six put up a poor race. Stunts got away badly, but closed up with a rush in the stretch. Mr. Dingle tired in the stretch and was badly handled. Seiza rotired early. Adirondack was short and went woll.
