TO RACE A MONTH EARLIER. Heretofore the rule in France has been that no twoyear-old races Ik- carded before the last Sunday in July. The Societie dKncouragement has amended the rule so that the youngsters in future will Ik-allowed to make their debut on and after the last-Monday in June, provided the value of tin- race fiosa not exceed .*L. H 0 and the di-tamc the fnrlougs. This rule applies to all horses which run on the continent only. There is nothing to prevent a Trench owner running a two year old in England from March IS this year onward, but he could not take the .oiuigster to lJelgiuui. for instance; nor causal an English owned Iwovearohl Ik- qualified lo run In France if he hail appeared ou the contiuuut prior to the last MwjUu la June.
