CONDENSED HISTORY OF THE TWIN CITY HANDICAP. From a monetary point. of view the Twin City Handicap is now the most important handicap of the late summer and early autumn campaign over the New York tracks. It will net Mondays winner in the neighborhood of 3,000 and ranks in importance with the great handicaps of May, June and July. It has been run annually since the iirst year of .racing at Sheepshead Bay and lias enrolled on Its honor list of winners the names of such fast and famous horses as Tom Martin, Elkwod, Exile, Firenzo, Stratlimeath, Lamplighter, Key el Santa Anita, Requital, Ornament, Ethelbcrt, McCIiesney and Caughnawaga.
